Criteria: Awarded to women currently enrolled in an accredited American law school who through law school academic and clinical work and other related fields demonstrate aptitude for and commitment to a legal career of advocacy of health care law.  Must be nominated by clinical program director, law school professor teaching in related area, or dean.  Include writing sample, references, and a personal statement explaining how the civil justice system can serve as a means to achieving a safer society.

Nelson Mandela Law Scholarship
Criteria: Applicants must be studying law.  Students who are entering law school or are in their first year of law school are eligible.
Amount: $1,000

Rodney Pulliam Memorial Scholarship
Criteria: Sixty scholarships will be awarded (10 from each of the 6 NBLSA regions) in the form of a BARBRI certificate.  Each recipient must be a second or third year law student.
Amount: $500

Sandy Brown Memorial Scholarship
Criteria: Two monetary awards will be given commemorative of Ms. Brown.  Applicants must be a rising second or third year law student, and submit an essay on the specified topic.
Amount: Not less than $500

James Stoudt Memorial Scholarship Fund of the PA Bar Foundation Law Student Scholarship Program
Criteria: Open to all second year, or third year part-time, law students in good standing who are PA residents and current members of the Law Student Division of the PA Bar Association (free membership available online). Recipients must demonstrate academic achievement, financial need, and potential for making a contribution to society and the legal profession either through anticipated legal field or other efforts. Applicants must also submit an essay of up to 500 words explaining how they will make a contribution to society and the legal profession, a current resume and up to two letters of recommendation.
